Get a Magic Your Way Plus Free Dining Package. If you were thinking of staying in a Disney hotel this is a great offer. This offers accommodation in a Disney hotel, park ticket and free dining in Disney restaurants. The dining includes one select sit down service meal, one snack and one meal at a select table service restaurant per person.
It originally started as an offer only open to Disney Visa Cardholders but has now been expanded to be open to everyone! This great offer is available for travel dates 8/26/07-9/22/07 and must be booked between now and 6/24/07.
The offer requires a minimum stay of 3 nights and a maximum of 14 nights. The number of rooms allocated is limited and we would expect it to sell out early as it is such a great value. Theme park tickets are for one theme park per day (no park hopping).
If you do book this package make sure you make your priority seating reservations immediately – we expect this to be a very popular offer and for the restaurants to be busy!
The Spaceship Earth time travel adventure attraction in EPCOT is undergoing a major refurbishment which is due to be completed early 2008. This has always been one of our favorite rides so we have anxiously awaited the details of the changes. The slow moving ride on board 4 passenger time machines traveled through time and explored how communication has changed through the ages.
Over the years there has been much speculation about how the ride will be changed – one rumour that we remember, was even a Space Mountain type roller coaster attraction inside the famous geodesic dome. However, the inagineers have decided to enhance the present ride by adding new show scenes along with new lighting effects, costumes, set decoration, narration and musical score. The ride will also have some interactive elements, with guests using touch screens installed aboard each time machine that will allow them to create their own visions of the future and see themselves in that future.
Guests will disembark and enter Project Tomorrow:Inventing the World of Tomorrow. This is an area of interactive games and displays which showcase the technology of the new sponsor, Siemens – the theme being the future of medicine, transportation and responsible energy management across the globe. This area is due to open at the end of April 2007 and we look forward to hearing reports on this new attraction. We will keep you posted!
